Terms of service
Last updated October 2, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you (the business using the service, "you") and Decamount Technologies Private Limited ("we", "us"), which provides RingMarshal (the "service"). By creating an account or using the service you accept them on behalf of your business.
1. The service
RingMarshal follows up on missed calls to your business by text message, WhatsApp and phone, and uses an AI assistant to answer your customers and book appointments in the times and areas you set. Features depend on your plan (see pricing).
2. Your account
- You must give accurate business information and keep your login details secure. You're responsible for what happens under your account, including what your team members do.
- You must be able to enter contracts for your business and use the service for business purposes only.
3. Messaging, calls and consent
- You're responsible for having the right to contact the people the service contacts for you, under the laws that apply to you and them (for example the US Telephone Consumer Protection Act and carrier rules).
- The service follows a caller's request to stop (STOP and similar words), sends only service messages related to the customer's own call or booking, respects quiet hours, and announces when calls are answered by an AI or recorded. You must not use it for marketing or unsolicited messages, or turn these protections off.
- US text messaging requires registering your business with the carriers (A2P 10DLC or toll-free verification). Messages may be held until registration is approved.
- You must follow the WhatsApp Business policies when you use WhatsApp through the service.
4. The AI assistant
The assistant answers from the information you give it (services, prices, hours, service area) and books only free times. It can make mistakes. Check your schedule, keep your information up to date, and take over any conversation when needed. It is not a substitute for emergency services: when a caller reports an emergency it gives safety instructions and alerts you, but you remain responsible for responding.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use the service to break the law, harass people, send spam, impersonate others, or interfere with the service or other customers' data. We may suspend messaging if we see abuse, carrier complaints or a security risk, and will tell you why.
6. Fees and billing
- Plans are billed in advance, monthly or yearly, in US dollars, through our payment processor (Stripe). Usage beyond your plan's allowance is billed in arrears. Prices exclude applicable taxes.
- New accounts get a free trial; a card is required, and the plan starts automatically when the trial ends unless you cancel.
- If a payment fails we will retry and tell you; after repeated failures the service may be limited until payment is made.
7. Cancellation
You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing → Manage card & invoices, or by emailing us. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the service keeps working until the end of the month or year you've paid for. Cancelling during the free trial means you are never charged.
8. Refunds
- Subscription fees are paid in advance and are not refunded, in full or in part, when you cancel or downgrade during a billing period (monthly and yearly plans alike).
- Usage charges cover services already delivered and are not refundable.
- Charges made by mistake (a duplicate payment, or a charge after you cancelled) are refunded to the original payment method if you tell us within 30 days, usually within 5–10 business days.
- Nothing here limits refund rights you have under the law that applies to you. Details: cancellation & refund policy.
9. Your data
You own your data and your customers' data. We process it only to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy, and act as your processor for your customers' personal information. Ask us and we'll give you an export of it or delete it; after you close your account we delete it within 90 days, except records we must keep (such as invoices and customers' consent and opt-out records).
10. Third-party services
The service relies on providers such as telephone carriers (Twilio), WhatsApp (Meta), payment processing (Stripe), AI model providers and calendar services you connect. Their outages or rule changes can affect the service; we'll work around them where we can.
11. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available but don't guarantee it will be uninterrupted. We may improve or change features; if a change materially reduces what you pay for, we'll tell you in advance and you may cancel. We'll give at least 30 days' notice of changes to these terms or to prices.
12. Liability
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is", we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses (such as lost jobs or profits), and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Ending the agreement
You can cancel at any time. We may end or suspend the service for serious or repeated breach of these terms, with notice where reasonable.
14. Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the place where Decamount Technologies Private Limited is established.
